Munich, November 2025 — FarmInsect, the marketleader in sustainable insect-based feed solutions, announces the appointment of Jens Thorsen as interim CEO.
Thorsen, who has served as Chairman of the Board since September 2024, brings decades of international experience in building, scaling, and leading Agricultural ventures and Feed businesses. In his new role, he will focus on driving FarmInsect’s next phase of growth — from expanding the network of decentralized insect farms to scaling the commercialization of processed insect products across Europe. Thorsen will also continue to serve as Chairman during this period.
As Co-Founder and Managing Director, Wolfgang Westermeier will together with Thorsen supporting each other in managing and expanding FarmInsect’s operations and strategic partnerships.

After six years of dedicated service, Co-Founder Thomas Kuehn has decided to step down from his role as CEO. “Building FarmInsect alongside a talented team, partners, and investors has been an incredible journey, and I’m immensely proud of the significant milestones we’ve reached,” said Kuehn.
